I hope all of our members are safe and well, during these challenging times.
I would like to take a moment and remind our membership why we are Elks. Our organization would not exist without the support from our members.
Our organization has been in existence for over 131 years, all because of membership involvement.
Currently we are in need of bartenders. Our Lodge will be on boarding a new Point of Sale service, and training will be in just a few weeks. If any member wishes to be part of our bartenders, now is the perfect time to learn. Please feel free to contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org, cell: 860 966-7412.
We are a volunteer organization. What is volunteering?
Volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity where an individual or group freely gives time "to benefit another person, group or organization". Volunteering is also renowned for skill development and is often intended to promote goodness or to improve human quality of life.
Our organization is structured on volunteering, to be successful, and promote are many programs, that are directly part of our community, this principle of becoming involved is why we are Elks.
I’m asking our members to step up and become active in our activities. Our lodge welcomes involvement, in any way you can contribute is greatly appreciated.
Our Activities committee contact is Kenny Rhodes Three Year Trustee at: Kenny_Rhodes@icloud.com, cell: 203 856-3335. Our House committee contact is Michael Cummings PER, Two Year Trustee at: email@example.com, cell: 203 309-7532.
