Elected by Lodge Members. Receives all monies from the Secretary and Members, pays approved bills of the Lodge, maintains record of receipts and disbursements, and signs all checks.
The individual is responsible for managing the Lodge's finances with precision and accountability. They receive all funds from the Secretary, ensuring proper documentation through receipts, and are tasked with paying approved bills signed by both the Exalted Ruler and the Secretary. Their role includes maintaining accurate records of all receipts and disbursements, while also serving as the Treasurer for various committees unless specified otherwise in the By-Laws. They oversee the Board of Trustees, which is charged with controlling the Lodge's funds and property, executing leases and contracts as directed, and maintaining comprehensive records of investments. This individual ensures that all necessary supplies are purchased and presents a detailed budget to the Lodge by the final meeting in April. They are committed to establishing financial controls to keep expenditures in line with the budget and have implemented an Accident Prevention Program, with a designated Trustee as chairperson. Furthermore, the chairperson is required to attend district clinics unless there are valid reasons for absence, and the Board holds monthly meetings, meticulously recording the minutes of each session.
