I am writing to update you with the Lodge’s latest plan to address the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). With this disease now established as a pandemic. Danbury Elks Lodge #120 will comply with all Federal, State and Local guidelines regarding this outbreak, therefore the bar and food service has been discontinued and all upcoming events have been canceled.
Please know that these decisions were not made lightly. The actions represent the best judgment of our Officers and our Board of Directors. We choose to err on the side of extreme caution for the safety of members. Since future challenges from COVID-19 could disrupt future events; we are developing additional contingency plans and will monitor the situation in order to keep you well informed.
At the current time we will still be holding our Lodge meetings but ask if you are going to attend to please let me know first so we do not exceed current guidelines for group gatherings.
The Installation of Officers on April 4th has been canceled and the current plan is to install the Officers at the Lodge meeting next week and hold a second ceremony and party when we are able.
I am also asking if you have not paid your dues to please do so since we still have to pay recurring bills that we are unable to put on hold.
Beyond that, I ask for everyone’s cooperation as we try to choose a sound path for the Lodge. If you have, any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at email@example.com or 860 966-7412.
In this uncertain moment, I have every confidence in our community’s ability to pull together with kindness, care, and concern for the common good.
Please stay well and be safe, and I hope to see you at the Lodge when we re-open for business.
